Brazil is the largest country by area and population. Its geographic location is 14.2350° S and 51.9253° W. The weather in Brazil is mostly hot and humid, especially in the Amazon rainforest area. Its highest point is 2994m above sea level.
GOVERNMENT OF BRAZIL
Brazil got its independence on September 7th, 1822. The current President of Brazil is Jair Bolsonaro. In 1889 the Empire of Brazil was abolished and replaced with a republic in a coup d'état led by Marshal Deodoro da Fonseca. He was the First Brazilian President. In Brazil, the currency they use is Brazilian Real.
PLACES TO VISIT IN BRAZIL
Some wonderful places to visit in Brazil are:
Rio de Janeiro - Rio de Janeiro is Brazil’s second most visited city located in South-Eastern Brazil. It has a lot of tourist attractions like Sugarloaf Mountain, Copacabana, Ipanema and Christ the Redeemer, which is a World Heritage Site. It was also the host of the 2016 Olympics.
Beach Park - It is a Brazilian water park in the municipality of Aquiraz. One of their waterslides, the Insano is one of the highest in the world. The area of the water park is 35000 m2.
Parque Das Aves - It is the second most visited attraction in the state of Parana. You can come close to birds, toucans, macaws, etc. It gets over 800,000 visitors per year.
Maracana - The Maracanã, officially Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho, is a football stadium in Rio de Janeiro. The stadium is part of a complex that includes an arena known by the name of Maracanãzinho, which means "The Little Maracanã" in Portuguese. Its record is 199,854, although it can only fit up to 87,101.
It hosted the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Amazon Theatre - It is an opera house in Manaus, in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. It was opened in 1896 and took 12 years to build. The seating capacity is 701.
BRAZIL NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM
The Brazil National Football Team is known to be the best in the world, having 5 World Cup victories and a gold medal in the Olympics. Famous players like Willian, Neymar Jr., Coutinho, etc. are in the team. Some retired players like Pele and Ronaldinho were also there.
LANGUAGE AND RELIGIONS
There is only one language in Brazil, and that is Portuguese. Portuguese and Spanish are a lot similar. In South America, people in other countries speak Spanish, except in Brazil. The main religion in Brazil is Roman Catholic.
