Soccer, the game

I have put up so many posts on Soccer till now. Ever wondered how to play Soccer? This blog post will tell you about it.

Soccer or Football was first played in 1863. It was invented in China by where people were kicking leather balls. There are 11 players out on the field and the rest are substitutes. There are many types of players on the field. They are:

  • Goalkeepers - The special ability of the goalkeepers are that they can use their hands to save the ball from going inside the goal. It is said the the goalkeepers' job is the toughest.
  • Defenders - They help defend the goal from their opponent. They too have a important job. They don't score goals very often.
  • Midfielders - They are neutral. They help defend the goal and attack to score in the opponent's goal.
  • Forwards - Their job is to score goals in the opponent's goal. They are also mainly needed in the match. They are also known as strikers.
These are the four types of players in the Starting 11.

There are also different types of kicks. They are:

  • Pass - Using your inside foot, kick the ball to your teammate.
  •  Shot - Kick the ball with your laces, flying into the goal
The two most popular players in the world are Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

DAY 1 We had to reach school at 6 am in the morning. We left from school at 7. The ride was quite smooth. We did immigration at Tuas checkpoint. As soon as you do immigration you're in Johor. As Singapore is an island, it is separated from Malaysia. So, there  had to be a bridge connecting these both. On the bridge to enter Malaysia, there was heavy traffic. We had to wait for about 40 minutes to reach across in Malaysia. Later after doing a security baggage check in the Malaysian checkpoint, we had to board another bus.  After boarding into another bus, five minutes later, we went to a B&B which is a breakfast place and a shop.
