The Getaway
Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a series of books written by Jeff Kinney. 'The Getaway' is the twelfth book. It was released in November 2017.

Greg and his family decide to go to Isla de Corales, a resort, instead of spending a normal Christmas at home. His parents force him as they went there on their honeymoon. But, he doesn't want to go.

It was his first time going on an airplane. He made a big 'wow' as he saw that the seats were made of real leather. But only later on, he realized that he wasn't travelling first class.

Isla de Corales is really cool except for disgusting creatures like spiders and lizards that come in his room. He is a bit freaked out.

In Isla de Corales, there is a wild side and a mild side. Children aren't allowed in the wild side.

Will Greg be able to stay despite his fear? Read the book to find out!

This book is suitable for children aged 9+. I rate this book 10/10. I like the part where he was standing on a float of the swimming pool and everyone pushed him down!

Read the book and write your rating in the comments below. Follow my other posts too!

Trip to Genting Highlands, Malaysia

DAY 1 We had to reach school at 6 am in the morning. We left from school at 7. The ride was quite smooth. We did immigration at Tuas checkpoint. As soon as you do immigration you're in Johor. As Singapore is an island, it is separated from Malaysia. So, there  had to be a bridge connecting these both. On the bridge to enter Malaysia, there was heavy traffic. We had to wait for about 40 minutes to reach across in Malaysia. Later after doing a security baggage check in the Malaysian checkpoint, we had to board another bus.  After boarding into another bus, five minutes later, we went to a B&B which is a breakfast place and a shop. I  bought few items there. The items were very cheap there as compared to Singapore. But, I didn't buy any breakfast there. In Genting we we...
