Book review - The Shy Supergirl by Shabnam Minwalla

Finally, Shabnam Minwalla has written another Duckbill book called 'The Shy Supergirl'.

The main character, Nina and her friend Buggy (whose actual name is Bhagat Roy) live in Venus Towers. Two things about Venus Towers made it different from the other nearby buildings.

The Shy Supergirl

Firstly, there was something special about Nina. She had the powers to see if a person is naughty, happy or nice. She acted a little weird because of her powers, as she left her aunt at her house and made friends with some stranger at the grocery store!

Secondly, was Ms. Khanna. She has a beautiful owl collection from owls all over the world. Her best owl was the Mexican owl.

Buggy's cousins from the USA, Krish and Tania come to Buggy's house to stay. Nina's powers identify that they glittered with cunning and sneakiness.

During the Christmas treasure hunt, Nina's team gets stuck in the lift when it was to get a chit from Ms. Khanna's house. Half an hour later, they find that her great, rarest owl, the Mexican owl is missing!

Can she use suspects and finally see who had stolen the owl? Read the book to find out!

I rate this story a 9.5/10 as it has very nice illustrations by Tanvi Bhat. This book is for ages 7+ It is a must read. Read the book now and tell your experiences in the comments below!

Trip to Genting Highlands, Malaysia

On a school excursion, I  went to Genting Highlands from 23rd of September to 25th of September, 2 nights and 3 days. My school, Global Indian International School were taking us by coach. DAY 1 We had to reach school at 6 am in the morning. We left from school at 7. The ride was quite smooth. We did immigration at Tuas checkpoint. As soon as you do immigration you're in Johor. As Singapore is an island, it is separated from Malaysia. So, there  had to be a bridge connecting these both. On the bridge to enter Malaysia, there was heavy traffic. We had to wait for about 40 minutes to reach across in Malaysia. Later after doing a security baggage check in the Malaysian checkpoint, we had to board another bus.  After boarding into another bus, five minutes later, we went to a B&B which is a breakfast place and a shop. I  bought few items there. The items were very cheap there as compared to Singapore. But, I didn't buy any breakfast there. In Genting we we...
